Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Scala Developer with Integrations and DSL(ETL based) to join our team. - ADVANCED ENGLISH REQUIRED
Responsibilities:
- Your day-to-day work will involve using a domain-specific language (DSL) created by the client to build data flows.
- Experienced BackEnd Engineer with solid background in systems integrations to work in our Flow-building team leading the on-boarding of customers using EDI, SQL and other ETL tools.
- You will work within a larger engineering team to build and contribute to the MacroHealth platform.
- This position requires you to be a self-starter, innovative and with the ability to take ownership, work with tight timelines, and handle various tasks simultaneously while continuing to develop a positive work culture. You will join a world-renowned leadership team with a track record of leading the development of multiple successful companies and products.
Your background includes:
- 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
- A solid background and experience with object-oriented languages: we mostly work in Java, but experience in Scala or C# is also valuable
- Exposure to at least one public cloud platform. We currently use Azure but equal experience in AWS or GCP is great too
- Building solutions using ETL tools, and Data Flow Stream tools such as NiFi or Azure Data Factory or other flow orchestration tools
- Additional experience with functional programming using Scala
- Familiarity with configuration management tools
- Knowledge of the US Healthcare space including standards such as X12 files
- Experience building solutions within a cloud-based microservice architecture, using docker containers and RESTful API’s
- Familiarity experience working with CI/CD frameworks and tools
- A pride in exceeding performance and functional standards of design and implementation
- Ability to maintain unit/integration tests for your code
- Comfort working within an Agile methodology
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and work across technologies
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
