As a Senior Software Engineer in Cortex Cloud, you will work at the forefront of cybersecurity innovation, building cloud-native solutions that protect some of the largest organizations in the world. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team building a new product from the ground up, shaping the architecture, technology stack, and engineering practices from day one.
You’ll not only write great code – you’ll influence product strategy, design scalable systems, and help drive key decisions that will shape the future of cloud workload protection.

Your Impact
- Play a key role in building cloud-native security features that protect real-world workloads from malware, secrets exposure, and other threats
- Lead the development of major features – from product discussions and technical design to implementation and testing
- Design and build scalable backend services using Golang and modern cloud-native technologies
- Research and integrate new technologies to improve detection, performance, and platform capabilities
- Help define best practices and drive engineering excellence across the team
Your Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering., ideally in cloud-native or security-focused environments
- Proven expertise in designing and building scalable, distributed systems running in production at high scale
- Strong programming skills in Golang, or another server-side language
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills – able to work closely with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software and Computer Engineering, or equivalent military experience required
The Team
Our team within Cortex Cloud, working under the Cloud Workload Protection (CWP) organization. Product focused on registry scanning and posture management – detecting malware and secrets in cloud assets during both deploy and runtime stages.
We're developing those capabilities from scratch – new codebases, services, and architecture – while bringing deep domain expertise from our past work at Prisma cloud. Each team member is involved across the entire lifecycle: product discussions, technical design, implementation, and production readiness.
We collaborate closely with PMs, security researchers, and other Cortex engineering teams to deliver high-impact, cloud-native solutions that scale.
