Join the founding engineering team at Duckbill to build Skyway, an enterprise SaaS platform untangling the $47.5B cloud cost management market. You will design and operate the high-performance backend services and APIs that power data-heavy product experiences for Fortune 500 clients, transforming messy billing data into actionable financial intelligence.

What you will do:
Design and scale backend services using Python and Flask to deliver low-latency, reliable APIs for complex cloud financial data.
Architect and maintain critical data modeling workflows within PostgreSQL and ClickHouse to ensure absolute correctness and performance at enterprise scale.
Collaborate with data engineers on ETL patterns and validation systems that normalize billing data from all major cloud providers.
The ideal candidate:
5+ years of backend engineering experience with at least 3 years of professional Python development in production environments.
Proven track record of designing RESTful APIs and working with both transactional (PostgreSQL) and analytical (ClickHouse/S3) data stores.
Experience shipping user-facing product features in a fast-paced startup environment where data quality and performance are mission-critical.
