Senior Backend Developer (Core Application)

What does a successful Senior Backend Developer (Core Application) do at Fiserv? 

Finxact is an innovative enterprise-class 100 percent open API cloud-native innovation platform and transaction processing engine. It is agnostic to asset classes, currencies, and time zones, catering to banking, fintech, and embedded finance sectors. Finxact offers scalability with adaptiveness to change, harnessing the cloud's resiliency and elasticity to design and launch new products with agility and precision without technology upheaval. You will be working in an application design and development role on the Finxact Core as a Service platform. You will be creating new software and enhancing existing software to provide banking and financial institution services.

What you will do:

• Work with business analysts, engineers, and other system users to understand and implement their application requirements
• Work with partners to understand their implementations and gain a breadth of knowledge in cloud-based SaaS implementations and technologies
• Provide quality software, improve test coverage and the overall quality of the systems
• Mentor other employees in software development best practices and engineering disciplines.

What you will need to have:

• 5+ years of direct financial industry experience in software application development for information technology, loan servicing, deposit operations or card processing
• 5+ years of experience working in Core Banking processes and Software development, and CRM systems
• 5+ years of experience with RESTful services, Swagger, Json data interchange, and GIT
• 5+ years of technical analysis, design, and development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience

What would be great to have:

• Golang programming experience
• Ability to execute on time-sensitive project deliverables
• Experience analyzing and interpreting data, as well as discussing business and technical topics
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks to completion with minimal supervision and under strict deadline

Salary Range

$87,200.00 - $155,700.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company’s sole discretion.
