Underwriting Support Employee P&I

Location: Rotterdam

Purpose        

The Underwriting Support Employee will be part of the Fixed Premium P&I (FPPI) product group. As part of the FPPI team you will aim to generate a positive impact on the profitability & sustainability of MS Amlin. We do this by providing a first class service and client experience to its main stakeholders i.e. the Shipowner and the insurance broker.

Position within the company

You will be part of the Fixed Premium P&I product group which consists out of two main product lines i.e. Charterers’ Liability (CL) and Shipowners’ P&I (SO). The role offered fits into the SO team in Rotterdam and you will report to a Lead Class Underwriter.

Dimensions

• The role operates in a challenging and ever changing environment across different countries and environments in conjunction with different functions (e.g. underwriting operations, finance etc.).

• Premium invoices, blue cards, contracts etc. need to be processed in a timely and efficient manner (daily basis) within the service level as agreed with the Underwriting Department.

Skills

• To be able to work/think at a MBO level
• Good command of English both written and spoken and preferably in Dutch
• Good understanding and ability to work with the most common Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Affinity with IT systems in general
