Senior Back End Software Engineer

Position Responsibilities:

• System Design and Architecture:

Design and implement robust and scalable back-end systems tailored to the insurance industry's specific needs, ensuring they support complex business logic and regulatory compliance.

• Database Management:

Develop, optimize, and maintain Oracle Databases to efficiently handle large volumes of data. Ensure data integrity, security, and performance through advanced SQL & PLSQL scripting and database tuning.

• Application Development:

Write and maintain high-quality SQL, PLSQL & Java code for server-side applications, ensuring seamless integration with front-end components and third-party systems used in insurance operations.

• Reporting Solutions:

Develop and maintain Oracle Forms and Reports as well as Jasper Reports to generate accurate and timely business reports. Customize reporting solutions to meet the dynamic needs of insurance stakeholders.

• Performance Optimization:

Conduct performance analysis and implement improvements to ensure applications are efficient, responsive, and capable of handling peak loads typical in insurance transactions.

• Security and Compliance:

Implement industry-standard security practices to safeguard sensitive insurance data. Ensure all systems comply with regulatory requirements, such as those related to data protection and privacy.

• Problem Solving and Issue Resolution:

Proactively analyze and resolve production issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining business continuity in critical insurance processes.

• Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, products team, actuaries, underwriters, and claims processors, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Mentorship and Leadership:

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Oracle database, PLSQL, java and jasper report.

• 3+ year working as senior back end developer.

• Experience in leading project consist of small team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge in life insurance business.

• Experience in building application with oracle form & report.

• Knowledge in Java Vaadin.
