Senior Back End Engineer (Remote - Brazil)

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Python and Node.js to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will design and optimize backend services, build robust APIs, and enhance our computer vision pipeline. LOCATION: Remotely from anywhere in Brazil

TEAM: Dock & Yard

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

• Design,  develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python and Node.js
• Design and maintain data structures on relational databases
• Build and optimize REST APIs that seamlessly connect our computer vision pipeline with customers
• Refactor and improve our Node.js codebase, enhancing infrastructure and deployment processes
• Build components, define JSON schemas, write REST APIs, refactor code, help us improve our infrastructure.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code with strong unit and integration testing practices
• Work closely with other engineers to build, improve, and scale our services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in Python and Node.js
• Advanced English skills, including speaking, as will be joining an international team
• Expertise in writing clean, maintainable, and well-structured code, backed by tests
• Experience developing and deploying REST APIs, with the ability to collaborate closely with frontend developers on API design
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (Lambdas, S3, etc.) and Postgres.
