Want a seat at our table? Ziosk is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with deep experience in Microsoft Azure to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems. This role will focus on developing cloud APIs, serverless functions, microservices, and data integrations that power our products and platforms.

The Main Course – Responsibilities 

• Design and implement serverless cloud software using Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Functions and App Services).
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET Core.
• Utilize Azure services such as Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, Service Bus, EventHub, and Key Vault.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, architects, and DevOps to ensure seamless, scalable integrations.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, performance optimization, and infrastructure decisions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backend performance and reliability using tools like Application Insights and Azure Monitor.
• Ensure high security and compliance standards using Azure Identity, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and encryption.
• Create and maintain documentation

What You Bring To The Table – Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of Azure serverless development experience
• Strong knowledge of C#/.NET Core
• Experience building and securing high throughput APIs.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. SQL Server, Cosmos DB).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and infrastructure as code.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure certifications such as AZ-204 (Developer), AZ-305 (Architect), or AZ-400 (DevOps).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, AKS).
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2, JWT, Azure AD).
