As Senior B2B Events Manager, you will be responsible for new event concepts and activations, along with end -to-end planning, execution, and management of business-to-business events. What is the focus of the role?
Join Telstra's dynamic marketing team to create unforgettable event experiences for our Enterprise customers. Events play a key role in establishing meaningful relationships and driving strategic marketing initiatives to generate brand advocacy, accelerate the sales pipeline, and foster relationships with Customers, Alliances, Partners, Agencies, and key internal stakeholders. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior B2B Events Manager to join our team and drive the success of our enterprise events program.
As Senior B2B Events Manager, you will be responsible for new event concepts and activations, along with end -to-end planning, execution, and management of business-to-business events. You will also coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure that events align with our strategic goals, deliver value to our audience, and enhance our brand presence. You will also be accountable on understanding and building the customer journey to deliver an optimal customer experience for a variety of events such as corporate hospitality, industry events, technology roadshows, and roundtables.

How you will make a difference:
Event Management and Process Excellence
- Manage venue contracts, merchandise, stand build, ticket allocation, and reporting to ensure financial efficiency and effectiveness.
- For corporate hospitality events, work closely with the sales team to ensure all suites are fully booked within budget, maximising the value of purchased tickets, in-suite experiences, and merchandise.
- Support the physical execution of events as required.
- Daily operations, administration, communication, and logistics of one or more types of events.
- Responsible for the development of enhanced customer experiences, event activations, communication journeys, and selections aligned to growth strategy.
Collaboration and Senior Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with internal teams such as Sales, Brand, Marketing, Automation, CVM Alliances, Partners, or Joint-Ventures, ensuring strategic and operational alignment.
- Effectively collaborate and negotiate with external agencies and venue operators to deliver successful events.
- The confidence and clear communication skills to manage a range of executive stakeholders.
Performance Measurement and Reporting
- Track and report on key event metrics, including attendance, engagement, and ROI.
- Analyse event performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed post-event reports and presentations for senior management.
- Provide regular budget updates and post-event financial reports to stakeholders.
Industry Trends and Best Practices
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in event marketing.
- Apply innovative ideas and strategies to enhance the effectiveness and impact of events.
- Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to expand knowledge and connections.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, event management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in managing B2B and B2G customer events such as corporate hospitality, industry events, technology roadshows, and executive engagement events.
- Passion for marketing, event management, creativity, and customer experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage a range of executive stakeholders and agency partners.
- Budget, reporting, and project management skills.
- Be flexible with time and travelling as the role requires to travel for some of the events.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Experience with Event Hub ticket system (can be trained), Event Management platform, and Power BI.
