About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer located in the Metro Atlanta area to join our high‑performing engineering team. In this role, you will architect, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support mission‑critical enterprise systems. You’ll collaborate closely with software and data engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions for our clients.
This is a hands‑on senior role for someone who thrives in automation‑first environments, enjoys solving complex cloud challenges, and wants to influence DevOps strategy across multiple projects. You’ll be working with a team of ImagineX’ers on‑site three days a week in Midtown, ensuring strong alignment and a smooth partnership with the client.
What You’ll Do- Architect, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM).
- Design, build, and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Manage and automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling across multiple environments.
- Deploy, secure, and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters and containerized workloads.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, App Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Partner with engineering teams to streamline build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity, secrets management, and network controls.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive long‑term reliability improvements.
- Champion DevOps culture, automation, and continuous improvement across teams.
- 5–8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure, including services such as:
- Azure App Services, Functions
- AKS, ACR
- Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts
- VNETs, Private Endpoints, Firewalls
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform strongly preferred).
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker and container orchestration.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, identity, and governance.
- Experience implementing observability and incident response workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Azure certifications (AZ‑104, AZ‑400, AZ‑305, etc.)
- Experience with service mesh, API gateways, or distributed systems
- Background in .NET, Node.js, or backend engineering
- Experience with FinOps or cloud cost optimization
- Familiarity with SOC2, Zero Trust, or other compliance frameworks
