The Role

We seek a talented Senior Azure Data Lake Developer to join our team in Prague, Czech Republic. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake technologies and a strong background in data engineering and analytics. As an Azure Data Lake Developer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining data lake solutions to support our stakeholder's evolving business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and robust data lake solutions on the Azure platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design data lake architectures that meet business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into the data lake.
  • Optimize data lake performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Implement data governance and security best practices to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data lake management and analytics.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake technologies, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse and Azure Data Lake Analytics.
  • Strong in SQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice to have:

  • Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and experience with data warehousing techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or Scala.
  • Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Data bricks is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
