For an international organization in Geneva, Switzerland, we are urgently looking for a Full REMOTE Senior AWS Architect / Cloud Operations Engineer - Full Remote.
During the corona crisis, interviews will be done through WEBEX, and travel is not required for the interviews. All positions are long-term.
This role can be performed remotely from Europe.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- AWS cloud environment for Operational Efficiency, Reliability, Performance and Cost Optimization;
- Provide operational support to deployment and development teams, along with business users, for the integration, staging and deployment of cloud applications;
- Define backup and business continuity parameters and strategies; engineer solutions to facilitate deployment of IPOBSD applications;
- Configure tools and solutions for logging, monitoring, and reporting on infrastructure and application resources;
- Define incident response strategies and implement tools for monitoring metrics, automating response and notifications;
- Assist in the implementation of tools for automation of configuration management, service catalogues and other processes;
- Assist in the automation of account provisioning and de-provisioning processes;
- Communicate processes and best practices through tutorials and documentation;
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- AWS Solutions Architect certified;
- Experience as AWS Architect;
- In-depth knowledge of major AWS services such as RDS, ECS, CloudFormation, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud best practices such as the AWS Well Architected Framework.
- Knowledge of SQL-based databases (Oracle, MSSQL, Postgres…etc.)
- Experience in the deployment of complex IT solutions for business service delivery (including scalable cloud-based solutions and microservices architectures);
- Experience maintaining applications with automated integration and deployment on major cloud platforms, especially AWS;
- Fluent in English;
