Job Description

Key Responsibilities: • 

 Automated Testing: 

o Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing using appropriate testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress TestNG, Junit, PlayWright). 

o Implement automated testing solutions for both web and mobile applications. 

o Continuously improve the coverage and efficiency of automated tests, ensuring they align with business goals and technical requirements. 

o Execute and maintain automated test suites to ensure tests are effective, reliable, and efficient. 

• CI/CD Pipeline Integration: 

o Work closely with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.). 

o Ensure seamless execution of automated tests as part of the continuous integration process, providing feedback to developers on code changes and test results. 

o Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated tests run efficiently and issues are detected early in the development lifecycle. 

• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication: 

o Act as a bridge between product teams, developers, and quality assurance to understand the product in depth and ensure the testing process aligns with product goals. 

o Engage in regular conversations with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, technical specifications, and ensure effective communication of testing needs. 

o Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to stay aligned with product features and updates. 

o Collaborate with team members to identify product risks and potential quality issues early in the development cycle, proposing solutions and mitigation strategies.

Role & Responsibilities

• Test Documentation & Reporting: 

o Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and defect reports.

 o Provide detailed test results and reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency in the testing process and outcomes. 

o Maintain and update test plans to reflect changes in product features or testing requirements. 

• Process Improvement: 

o Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of more efficient, streamlined testing processes. 

o Provide feedback on test coverage and quality to ensure high levels of software reliability.

Technical Qualifications

Key Qualifications: 

• Experience: 

o 5-8 years of experience in automated testing, with a strong focus on functional, regression, and integration testing. 

o Experience in creating and executing automated tests using tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks. 

o Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and working with tools like Jenkins etc. 

o Experience testing web, mobile, and API-based applications, with an understanding of various test levels and techniques.

 • Technical Skills: 

o Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including manual testing, automated testing, performance testing, and security testing. 

o Proficiency with CI/CD tools and the ability to set up and optimize automated testing within these pipelines. 

o Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). o Ability to write and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages. 

o Understanding of API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI for testing RESTful and SOAP services.

 • Collaboration & Communication Skills: 

o Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other business stakeholders. 

o Ability to understand and interpret product requirements, technical specifications, and translate them into actionable testing strategies. 

o Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment. 

o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.  

o Experience in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, test estimations, and continuous delivery. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). •

 Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and testing in cloud-based environments. 

• Knowledge of Docker and containerized testing environments. 

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and testing microservices.
