Responsibilities:
- Problem solver – Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail. Able to boil complex problems down to their constituent elements and then formulate and evaluate a range of alternative solutions.
- A foundational and working knowledge of the Accounting Industry, including Tax and Audit
- Analyze various micro and macro business processes to create a complete picture of workflows and technical requirements for automation solutions
- Analyze business processes to identify and document key opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation
- Become a Subject Matter Expert on all business processes being analyzed for automation
- Work with stakeholders to perform impact analysis to ensure business readiness for automation solutions, including facilitating business process documentation changes and employee/client readiness and adoption
- Evaluate business processes and align appropriate automation solution(s) to ensure they meet business requirements and needs
- Continuously analyze and monitor implemented solutions to ensure optimal performance and opportunities for continuous improvement as well as debug and quickly resolve any issues that periodically arise
- Execute work leveraging Agile and Scrum methodology; gather requirements in Epics, Features, and User Stories; define acceptance criteria, appropriately size stories.
- Serve as the team's Scrum Master, facilitating all Agile ceremonies — daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Own and maintain the team backlog, partnering with Process Owners and stakeholders to prioritize and groom work items ahead of each sprint
- Act as a servant leader to the team, proactively identifying and removing impediments to keep delivery on track
- Facilitate and coordinate requirements walk-throughs and signoffs working with key business and technology stakeholders
- Leverage influence to drive work among disparate teams with competing priorities
- Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights, and advice; work with teams to drive a continuous improvement mindset that is always looking for ways to improve efficiency
- Lead collaboration activities with internal and external business and technology members and stakeholders throughout automation lifecycle
- Work within defined Software Development Lifecycle governance processes
