What impact you will have

We are seeking a proactive and innovative Senior Automation Engineer to join our dynamic product team. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, testing and optimizing automated systems to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our products, and enabling mass production. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to apply their expertise in automation to drive continuous improvement and innovation

What you’ll do

  • Electrical, Electronics and Control Design: Develop detailed electrical schematics ensuring safety, energy efficiency, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and compliance with applicable standards.

  • Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the full product lifecycle (NPI - New Product Introduction, quality assurance), from conceptualization to industrialization.

  • PLC Development: Program and implement control logic using PLC environments for prototyping and custom series.

  • Embedded programming: Develop embedded software for process control.

  • Cost Optimization (BOM): Manage and optimize the Bill of Materials to ensure the electrical design is viable for high-volume manufacturing.

  • Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.

  • Services support: Diagnose and resolve issues in automated systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in product development, automation design, programming, and implementation (e.g. experience over consumer electronics, building automation, automotive industry, IOT devices, illumination, HVAC or measure devices).

  • Experience in PLC languages and knowledge of C for embedded systems.

  • Proficiency in electrical CAD software (EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical).

  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA, CAN, SPI, I2C, etc).

  • Familiarity with mass-market product regulations (CE marking, UL certifications, etc.).

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Ability to bridge the gap between industrial automation and consumer electronics.

  • Professional fluency in English

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience working over microcontrollers and DSPs from ST, NXP, Nordic or TI.

  • Pipelines and job automation: Jenkins, Gitlab or Bitbucket runners.

  • Experience over RTOS like Zephyr, FreeRTOS and their toolchain (including Cmake)

  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
