Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our engineering organization. This role is responsible for driving quality across the software development lifecycle through test automation, quality engineering best practices, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong automation experience, a solid software development background, and a passion for building scalable quality solutions. You will work alongside developers, product managers, architects, and DevOps engineers to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing software releases.
This position requires a quality-first mindset, strong technical expertise, and the ability to influence engineering teams toward building quality into every stage of development.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Engineering & Test Strategy

  • Partner with product and engineering teams to define quality requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Develop comprehensive test strategies for new features, enhancements, and platform initiatives.

  • Promote shift-left testing practices and quality ownership across engineering teams.

  • Identify quality risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.

Automation Engineering

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks and reusable test components.

  • Create automated tests for web applications, APIs, microservices, and backend services.

  • Expand automation coverage across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

  • Improve test execution reliability, speed, and maintainability.

API & Integration Testing

  • Develop and maintain API automation suites.

  • Validate integrations across internal and external systems.

  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across applications and databases.

  • Troubleshoot complex defects and support root cause analysis.

CI/CD & Quality Gates

  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Establish quality gates and release readiness criteria.

  • Monitor test execution results and quality metrics.

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to support continuous testing initiatives.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor junior and mid-level quality engineers.

  • Contribute to quality standards, best practices, and automation strategies.

  • Participate in design reviews and provide quality-focused technical feedback.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 6+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software development.

  • Strong programming experience in one or more of the following: Java / C# / Python / JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.

  • Experience with modern test automation tools such as Playwright / Selenium / Cypress

  • Strong API testing and automation experience.

  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and quality engineering practices.

  • Experience with Git and source control management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in healthcare technology environments.

  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR.

  • Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Experience testing microservices and distributed systems.

  • Familiarity with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.

  • Exposure to security testing and vulnerability validation.

  • Experience implementing automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
