Your department
In the Technology department (R&D), no two days are the same. Our activities are based all over the world and each project is different. These projects improve the business of our external customers within the Airports, Warehousing, and Parcel business. The Technology department is committed to enhancing Vanderlande’s competitive position through state-of-the-art solutions.
Your position
As an Automated Test & Integration Engineer you are responsible for verifying and validating complex multidisciplinary products in one of Vanderlande’ market segments like Baggage Handling for Airports and Automated Logistics in Warehouses and Parcel distribution, as much as possible in an automated manner.
You will work on a project in which AI algorithms are used to classify baggage, to improve performance and reliability of Vanderlande’s material handling systems. You will work on both automated SW testing and manual integration testing of an HW/SW module that will accurately measure and classify items in real-time.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Creating and executing a (risk-based) test strategy.
- Introduction of Vanderlande’s Automated Test Framework (C#) in the project.
- Translation of requirements into system integration scenarios (in Gherkin).
- Implementation of automated integration tests.
- Manual (hands-on) integration testing in our Innovation Center or on the customer site.
- Reporting problems and work together with the project team to deliver a prompt, high-quality solution.
Your profile
- You have a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree and have a great affinity with technology.
- You have at least three years’ test experience in a multidisciplinary environment.
- At least three years of experience with C# (Object Oriented)/.NET/.NET Core, Visual Studio, MSBuild, NuGet and NUnit is required
- ISTQB Foundation certification (or equivalent).
- ISTQB Advanced test automation engineer (or equivalent) is an advantage
- Experience and affinity with Requirements Management, Version Control and Test management tools, especially Jira, Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo and Artifactory
- Knowledge of DevOps, Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery is an advantage
- Knowledge of Gherkin and SpecFlow is an advantage
- You can work independently.
- You have a proactive, critical and hands-on attitude.
- You are a committed team player.
- Agile mindset, experience with working in a Scrum/Kanban team is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills with good command of the English language
- Relevant knowledge and experience about the logistic process automation is an advantage.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4800 to € 5550 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
