The Senior Auditor – Data Analytics serves as a member of the Internal Audit Center of Excellence, helping shape how data analytics, automation, and emerging technologies are used across audit and SOX activities. The role partners closely with auditors, leadership, and the business to design scalable, data-driven approaches that improve audit quality, efficiency, and insight. This person will also play a crucial role in ensuring consistency, standardization, and ongoing improvement throughout our audit teams.
What you’ll do:
- Be part of our Center of Excellence, focused on supporting data driven audits by leveraging data analytics, automation and generative AI.
- Foster and develop relationships across the audit team and business stakeholders to understand processes, risks, systems and data availability.
- Design, build, and scale analytics, automation, and Generative AI use cases that support audit planning, execution, and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement across all audit activities - modernizing the end‑to‑end audit lifecycle through standardized processes, documentation, reporting, and governance.
- Break down complex, ambiguous issues into clear, actionable insights
- Promote a data-focused and innovative mindset across the team that emphasizes quantifiable insights to support audit planning and procedures.
- Analyze unstructured and incomplete data to identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Willing to travel up to 15% of the time.
Who you are:
- Possess a passion for results, operating with autonomy, and a genuine interest in streamlining our operations and improving SOX/audit efforts.
- Excellent problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
- You are skilled at communicating and influencing best practices across a multi‑level organization, helping teams adopt consistent, scalable analytics and audit processes
- Able to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable messages for non-technical audiences
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, data analytics, computer science, statistics, business or a related field are required.
- MBA, Master’s in Business Analytics or other advanced degree is preferred.
- 4+ years’ experience in internal audit, external audit, data analytics or business intelligence are required.
- Experience with Alteryx and data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau is required.
- Experience in audit analytics and a data‑focused Center of Excellence, including developing methodologies to quantify financial exposure, savings, or value realization related to audit risks and observations is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Python, SQL, and comfort with ERP systems is preferred.
- Experience designing, building, or deploying AI agents or agent‑based solutions to support business, audit, or analytics use cases is preferred.
