Role + Purpose

The Senior Trim Associate will support the development and execution of trim and packaging across multiple product categories, partnering closely with the Trim Manager and cross-functional teams to bring brand-right concepts to life. This role is responsible for driving trim development from concept through commercialization, ensuring all materials align with brand standards, support seasonal design direction, and are delivered on time to meet key milestone dates.

Responsibilities
  • Co-manage multiple categories alongside the Trim Manager, ensuring trim solutions are brand-aligned, cost-conscious, and seasonally relevant.

  • Lead the end-to-end development of trims and components—transforming initial concepts into approved, production-ready materials that enhance the overall product experience.

  • Partner closely with global suppliers and sourcing teams, driving clarity, quality, and timely execution in alignment with brand standards.

  • Build and maintain seasonal development trackers, ensuring a smooth workflow and seamless visibility for cross-functional partners.

  • Create seasonal boards with a collection of materials that reflect the brand and brand concepts.

  • Deliver 100% on-time approvals for all trim and packaging elements to support seasonal readiness.

  • Oversee and curate material libraries to ensure designers have access to modern, brand-forward references and innovation opportunities.

  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions with design, merchandising, production, and sourcing—providing clear, inspiring, and solution-oriented updates on trim developments.

QualificationsRequired:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Product Development, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in trim sourcing, trim development, and/or production within the apparel industry.

  • Strong understanding of trim and substrate materials and how they contribute to product quality, storytelling, and brand identity.

  • Proven ability to manage trim and material development from concept through commercialization in a fast-paced, design-driven environment.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high standard of quality, accuracy, and execution.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred:
  • Experience working in PLM systems and Miro.

  • Experience partnering with global suppliers and sourcing teams.

  • Strong negotiation and cross-functional partnership skills.

  • Elevated eye for quality, product detail, and brand consistency.

  • Innovative, collaborative, and deadline-driven approach to work.

Note: Availability of these benefits and perks may be subject to work location & employment type and may have certain eligibility requirements.

Salary Range: $64,200.00 - $79,600.00

The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.  The base salary is just one component of J.Crew Group’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes the opportunity for bonus, competitive benefits and perks.
