Job Summary:
The Associate - Engineering Services (CE) will work closely with the Technical Team, BD Team, HSSE Team and other external stakeholders such as consultants and contractors for the conduct of field works/due diligence for MM, TL, SS siting activities and supervise MM construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct review and validation of engineering designs, including transmission line layouts, tower placements, and meteorological mast locations.
Review civil design components for wind and solar projects, ensuring compatibility with site conditions and project requirements
Perform review of geotechnical investigation reports and validate findings relevant to design and construction.
Identify technical issues such as site constraints, land conflicts, and alignment challenges, and recommend feasible solutions.
Evaluate and inspect project sites and transmission line routes for buildability and feasibility.
Prepare initial transmission line alignments for BD projects.
Support MM, TL, and SS siting activities, including due diligence and field validation.
Coordinate closely with Business Development (BD) for project planning and site viability and Land Acquisition (LA) for land constraints and access requirements.
Support planning and coordination for construction water applications and other site preparation activities.
Prepare TOR & SA for site development studies.
Prepare in house cost estimates and evaluate bid proposals.
Support planning and execution of drone mapping activities.
Coordinate geotechnical investigation activities, including engagement with consultants and review of results.
Perform site inspections and field validation activities.
Supervision on meteorological mast construction activities.
Support structural and maintenance-related works, including monitoring urgent repair works for meteorological masts.
Coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with technical specifications and requirements.
Ensure all technical activities are aligned with HSSE standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams on technical deliverables and compliance requirements.
Prepare technical reports, assessments, and summaries, including civil design reviews and site evaluation reports.
Maintain organized and accurate documentation of all technical and project-related records.
Assist with other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Technical Team or Project Management.
Pre-requisites:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Licensed Civil Engineer required).
Knowledgeable in drafting and use of Autocad and other drafting software.
Must be able to interpret and review civil design drawings.
Must be able to do civil design (site layout, drainage, road, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal skills to work a team, as well as verbal and written communication skills in English.
Physically fit with no existing health concerns.
