The Strategy & Operations (S&O) team is the engine that drives DoorDash forward, owning everything from building the initial hypotheses about a business to the final implementation and optimisation. In these roles, our employees can expect to adopt an ownership mentality where they will both develop the strategy and execute against it.
The Senior Associate role is suited to self-driven, ownership-oriented individuals who excel at solving complex problems through a combination of data-driven thinking and a customer-first mindset. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to turn strategy into execution.
You will be embedded within an S&O function which you can learn more about here. We follow a hybrid model, with three days each week spent in our Sydney or Melbourne office.

- Own & build - You will be responsible for a key component of the customer experience, whether that experience is for customers that order on DoorDash, Dashers who earn and deliver or Merchants who sell through DoorDash. You will own an integral part of the experience for that customer type. One example in the customer team could include being responsible for developing and executing the overall operational strategy for DoorDash homepage, where you will focus on increasing customer conversion through improving in-app merchandising and customer experience

- You have 3-5 years experience in operations / project management / strategy consulting / product / technology
- You're a strong cross-functional operator. You influence without authority, communicate effectively, and align stakeholders across teams.
- You're an analytical powerhouse. You lead with data, and you're comfortable pulling your own data in SQL and modeling in Excel.
- You take ownership. You’re a proactive self-starter who enjoys solving problems, operating independently through ambiguity, and seeing initiatives through from strategy to execution.
- You're a builder, not just a scaler. You have the entrepreneurial instinct to take something from 0→1 — whether that's a new product, a new partnership model, or a go-to-market approach that doesn't exist yet. You're energised by ambiguity, know how to create structure where none exists, and don't need a playbook to get started.
- You think beyond your portfolio. You're not satisfied owning your segment in isolation — you're naturally curious about how levers you pull in one place create ripple effects across the broader business, and you proactively identify the highest-leverage opportunities at the platform level.
