Role Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Create reporting and forecasting for monthly reviews and quarterly board reports.
- Drive the annual plan creation process.
- Partner with Accounting in the month-end close process, weekly cash cycle reporting, and ensuring that we have accurate billing and invoicing operations that grow with the business.
- Analyze variances between Actuals, Plan, and Forecast.
- Provide clear and concise budgeting and tracking to senior management.
- Support Search team and Platform team analysis, create consistent metrics, and develop processes that drive operational and financial improvement.
- Strategic Finance:
- Aligning financial goals with overall business strategy, moving beyond traditional accounting and FP&A to drive long-term growth and profitability through data-driven insights, recommendations, and proactive decision-making.
- Build financial models for the optimal number of searches, average search fee, average length of search, labor planning, business development expenses, and operating costs such as travel, rent, marketing, and technology.
- Partner with individuals within the different functions by communicating analysis and developing effective dashboards or reports: People team, Technology team, Search Operations, the Search leaders of each office, and to the Executive Leadership team (XLT)
- Investment Management:
- The Search team is the primary revenue driver of Oxeon’s business. However, a secondary part of the business is Invested Search and Balance Sheet investments. Oxeon makes investments in healthcare companies and this position’s responsibility will be maintaining an accurate investment database so that we can track the valuation and status of our investments.
Requirements for the Role
- 2+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, equity research, private equity, hedge fund, investment banking, corporate finance, corporate accounting, or related role.
- Have a foundational understanding of corporate accounting (cash vs accrual, etc).
- Understand and be able to build a 3 statement financial model.
- Oxeon’s main business is healthcare executive search, so you should be interested in the business helping healthcare companies identify great talent.
- Oxeon also makes investments into healthcare companies, so you should be interested in learning about fundraising, business model evaluation, and tracking investment valuations.
- Team Player with demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and collaborate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- First-principles learner: You approach problems by questioning assumptions and relying on data to find the right solution. You learn fast and go deep.
- Strong analytics and comfort in working with large data sets for financial modeling
- Creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- Experience with Excel and Google Sheets required
- Experience with Quickbooks and Bill.Com is a bonus.
- Experience with data visualization tools and business intelligence software (Tableau, Power BI) is a bonus

Salary Expectations
- Total Cash Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000
- Base: $100,000 - $130,000
- Bonus: 0-20% of Base Salary
- Equity: Cash distributions are variable based on tenure and fund performance
