Position Title: Senior Associate Staff Scientist

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Summary of Duties: Integrated Decisions and Systems, Inc. - IDeaS seeks a Senior Associate Staff Scientist in Cary, North Carolina. IDeaS is a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of SAS Institute, Inc. Founded in 1989, IDeaS is the premier provider of enterprise revenue management and optimization solutions.
Contribute to the research and development of innovative, market-centric products. Develop high-quality analytical algorithms (i.e. using machine learning, predictive analytics) with responsibility for programming, testing, and documenting. Optimize the product platform architecture and solve technical difficulties. Analyze data and build reliable and scalable cloud-based SaaS system for solving high value research problems relevant to revenue and profit optimization. Create and deploy new intellectual property to innovatively fulfill the needs of customers. Build pricing computational model to optimize product prices in real-time. Build reliable and scalable modules to transfer real-world data to analytics data. Carry out analytical data analysis in support of research activities. Collaborate with other members of the development, testing, and product management teams with an understanding of the business requirements. Perform analysis, estimation, architecture designing, development and implementation. Build cloud-based SaaS solutions. Improve performance and efficiency of analytics software. May work remotely pursuant to company's flexible work program.
Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related analytical sciences field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered, a related analytical research position, or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related analytical sciences field plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered, a related analytical research position, or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related analytical sciences field.
Position requires software development experience in C/C++ or Python. Requires experience with Unix/Linux environments. Requires experience with containers such as K8s. Requires experience with distributed computing. Requires experience with database skills including SQL server and MySQL. Experience and skills may be gained during attainment of graduate degree. May work remotely pursuant to company's flexible work program.
