Role Responsibilities
As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for implementation of a service delivery model supporting assigned platforms through a predefined frame-work. This will include the design and development of products based on the Western Union 'DIGITAL ORG’ in support of our clients, products, sales, marketing and operations support teams.
- Develop and implement new software, maintain and improve existing software
- Ensure that software functionality is implemented with a with a focus on code optimisation and organisation
- Recommend improvements to existing software programs
- Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams
- Work with a software development team and Service providers in a geographically distributed structure
- Provide coaching to Junior Associates
- Works independently on simple to medium complex projects
Role Requirements
- B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required
- 4 to 6 years of software development experience
- Must be a problem solver with demonstrated experience in solving difficult technology challenges, with a can-do attitude
- Experience in developing and implementing Java Script, React, Front End based solutions (Web, Apps)
- Knowledge of FE architecture design concepts, object oriented design and techniques
- Knowledge of Apps release (Android, iOS) process, Apps Crash identification/resolution, Apps tools.
- Self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritise, manage workload, and consistently deliver results
- Experience in Agile and Iterative development methodologies
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact with partners globally
Technical areas of expertise:
- Experience in financial services and business practices
- Experience in digital money transfer domain and data reporting capability programs
- Strong Background in Java Script Frontend development and Web/Apps FE architecture
- Experience in Java Script, Node, React, Redux, Gulp, Yarn, Lerna, NVM
- Experience in capture of business reporting requirements and design/development of reports.
- Experience in Front-end WEB (ReactJS, WebPack5), Mobile (React Native, SQLLite) development
- Background & good understanding in AWS services, Docker, GitLab, Redis Cache, GraphQL Client, etc.
- Experience in 'Cloudbees As CI' & 'Spinnaker As CD'.
- Understanding of Akamai, F5, GraphQL Client.
Work Shift
HYBRID - Western Union values in-person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible. We believe this fosters common ways of working and supports how we execute initiatives for our customers. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days a week.
