About Us
Skift is the leading business intelligence and media company in travel, delivering news, research, and global events that power smarter decisions across the industry. We convene senior leaders and innovators who rely on Skift for clarity, insight, and meaningful connection in a fast-moving global market.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a dynamic, innovative Senior Associate to join Skift Advisory and bring their expertise to bear on the real challenges and opportunities impacting the global travel and tourism industry. This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver and strong project manager who is ready to own analytical workstreams end-to-end and contribute directly to high-level client delivery. We are open to global candidates.
Why This Role Matters
As a key player within Skift Advisory, your core work involves transforming raw evidence into sharp insights, and turning those insights into actionable strategies across the global travel sector. By running deep analytical workstreams and holding your outputs to a strict "zero defect" standard, you directly empower our clients to make smarter strategic decisions. You aren't just crunching numbers; you are shaping the future of how the travel industry operates.
Some of What You’ll Do
End-to-End Analytical Ownership
- Own analytical workstreams with limited oversight on global client engagements.
- Conduct situational analyses, identify and prioritize trends, and run stakeholder workshops and in-depth interviews.
- Review and analyze financial and primary data, synthesizing your insights into clear recommendations and presenting findings directly to client teams.
- Build high-quality PPT and Excel deliverables while managing stakeholder communications and framing the next phase of active engagements.
Quality Control & Risk Management
- Take full ownership of quality assurance and control across your workstream outputs, holding all work to Skift Advisory’s rigorous "zero defect" standard.
- Demonstrate resilience through project setbacks by escalating risks proactively—always coming to the table with a proposed solution rather than just the problem.
Mentorship & Thought Leadership
- Support and informally mentor Associate-level colleagues by upholding and championing Skift Advisory’s values, culture, and ways of working.
- Author internal knowledge assets, playbooks, and case studies.
- Declare a primary specialty lane (e.g., Destinations & Tourism Boards, Hospitality & Lodging, Aviation & Mobility, or Travel Tech) to begin building visible, external expertise.
What You’ll Bring
- Consulting Expertise: You are friendly, engaging, and highly confident in your experience, skills, and abilities as a dynamic consultant.
- Analytical Rigor: The ability to clearly communicate complex ideas, particularly those involving quantitative and qualitative research alongside quantitative analytical models.
- Proactive Leadership: A self-starter mindset with the ability to lead, motivate others, and collaborate effectively with both individuals and teams.
- Client-Facing Confidence: The capability to build strong working and mid-level client relationships while developing your own external professional presence.
- Industry Passion: You are a lifelong learner with a deep, genuine passion for the business of global travel.
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree from a leading institution, while an advanced degree (MBA, MA, MSc) in business management, economics, or other relevant field is considered a plus
- You have a minimum of 2 to 4 years experience at a leading management consultancy (e.g., Bain, BCG, Deloitte, Accenture, Oliver Wyman, or similar) in a client-facing role
- You are fluent in English, with competency in an additional global business language (e.g., Arabic, French, Spanish) considered a plus
Success Metrics
- Delivery Quality: Consistent achievement of Skift Advisory's "zero defect" standard across all PPT, Excel, and analytical deliverables.
- Client Impact: Successfully transforming raw research into clear, actionable strategies and building trusted client relationships at the working and mid-level.
- Operational Resilience: Proactively flagging and resolving project risks with actionable solutions before they impact the client or the timeline.
- Team & Knowledge Growth: Effective informal mentorship of Associates and the successful authoring of internal playbooks within your chosen specialty lane.
What We Offer
- Collaborative, supportive, and remote-friendly work environment.

What We Do
Skift deciphers and defines news and trends for executives across all sectors of travel through reporting, research, conferences and marketing services. In our eight years of existence, Skift has become the most influential brand in global travel. It is how the travel industry and broader business world deciphers the sector. But we are not simply a B2B media company. We are pioneering a new model: a hybrid of industry-leading digital and in-person content, powered in large part by tech and data analysis that enables a deep global impact with a small footprint. As of 2020, Skift is now a fully-distributed company with no physical offices, and teams across various parts of U.S., Europe and Asia.
