What You Will Achieve
As part of the Comparative Medicine team, you will fully support the Comparative Medicine laboratory animal veterinary program by providing veterinary care and technical assistance duties.

How You Will Achieve It
Provide veterinary care for all species used in research and development.
- First line evaluation of clinical cases
- Under direction of clinical veterinarian, initiate diagnostics and treatments
- Monitor treatment and progress
- Preventive medicine: vaccinations, microbiology, disease surveillance
- Provide anesthesia support
- After hours, weekend, and holiday clinical coverage
- Alternate schedule may be required
- Maintain stocks of clinical supplies and medicines
- Arrange for maintenance of clinical equipment
Qualifications
Must-Have
- AA required (exempt) with 3-4 years' experience required
- Experience providing hands on clinical care to a wide variety of lab animal species
- Working knowledge of regulations related to the use of animals in research
Nice-to-Have
- BS/BA degree with 3+ years of experience
- Certified Veterinary Technician or Registered Veterinary Technician, or Licensed Veterinary Technician certification
- Non-human primate experience
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- For this position you are expected to enter the nonhuman primate areas as part of your job responsibilities.
- A pre-hire requirement is either providing proof of measles immunity or receiving the measles vaccination before hire.

- This is an Essential Personnel role

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,500.00 to $110,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
