Senior Associate, Restructuring

Our business is led by a highly experienced MD focused on building a substantial business delivering advisory services across Restructuring & Financial Advisory.  With a strong presence internationally, Interpath is dedicated to understanding the nuances of diverse markets, ensuring we deliver tailored and effective advisory services to provide solutions to the complex issues facing business today.

We are currently looking for a Senior Associate who will have the opportunity to work on restructuring, advisory and insolvency case work with the potential to gain exposure to other specialisms within the business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on some of the highest profile advisory and insolvency assignments across the region, providing services to our clients including:

• All forms of corporate insolvency appointments to entities from sole traders to partnerships, limited companies, and PLCs
• Restructuring advice to companies who are under performing or experiencing liquidity problems, and/or to the key stakeholders
• Accelerated M&A advice through the acquisition or sale of companies
• Turnaround support including cost reduction and working capital improvement
• Options reviews to help businesses and/or their stakeholders take the correct action to mitigate their challenges
• Cash forecasting and ongoing cash management

Key Accountabilities:

• Participate actively on engagements while working as part of a team, mostly supporting senior team members across various projects

• Identify, analyse issues in challenging client situations and assess business options, which may include formal insolvency processes

• Act as a point of contact for clients on specific assignments, providing updates to engagement managers or leaders

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in different engagements 
• Work independently on assigned tasks, adhering to project scope and tight timelines
• Contribute to business development efforts 
  
  

• Strong academic track record including a focus on Accountancy, Business or Law
• An interest in studying or in the process of taking exams for a professional qualification including but not limited to CA, HKICPA, CPAA or equivalent, will be advantageous.
• Previous experience, preferably with 2 to 4 years of working experiences in professional services either at a Big 4 firm or a boutique is advantageous.
• Proven research and analytical skills and the ability to manage several projects and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and the ability to work in teams and adapt to new challenges and ideas.
• Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work and continuously improving results.
• Strong Excel/PowerPoint skills combined with effective written and verbal communication.
• fluent business level (both written and spoken) English, Cantonese or Mandarin is essential. Other languages are welcome.
