About your team

The Protected Benefits Team within the Client Experience Platform (CEP) supports and maintains pension administration services for a diverse portfolio of corporate clients. The team provides end-to-end support to pension scheme members throughout the administration lifecycle, while also delivering specialist services to trustees and members when required.

The team is responsible for the administration and calculation of Protected Tax-Free Cash (PTFC) entitlements and the processing of Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) and Relevant Scheme Test (RST) cases that support members through their retirement journey.

This role plays a critical part in delivering a high-quality service to our clients and scheme members.

As a Senior Administrator within the Protected Benefits Team, you will:

  • Process and validate PTFC, GMP, and RST cases accurately and efficiently.
  • Process retirement disinvestment requests received from members and trustees.
  • Conduct detailed case assessments to ensure pension records are accurate and reflect PTFC and GMP/RST entitlements correctly.
  • Ensure all transactions are completed in line with established procedures and controls.
  • Support complex pension administration activities, including rework and rectification projects.
  • Review cases to identify discrepancies, errors, and opportunities for correction.
  • Effectively manage and prioritise your workload while supporting wider team objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues, particularly in the absence of management.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of GMP, PTFC, and RST processes and their application across pension schemes.
  • Escalate risks, issues, and potential service impacts promptly and appropriately.

About your role

This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure client instructions are processed accurately and within agreed timescales. You will collaborate with a range of teams across multiple locations to ensure priority work is completed efficiently and service commitments are met.

Alongside day-to-day operational responsibilities, you will have opportunities to contribute to projects, service improvement initiatives, and subject matter expertise activities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, operational excellence, and Fidelity's values.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a minimum of three years' experience in pension administration.
  • Consistently deliver accurate, high-quality work within agreed deadlines.
  • Support the team in meeting service level agreements (SLAs) through effective workload management and prioritisation.
  • Adhere to quality, risk, and productivity standards.
  • Demonstrate strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Manage and respond to mailbox queries, escalations, and operational requests.
  • Handle sensitive client data with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment while being capable of operating independently when required.
  • Contribute to non-BAU activities, including mailbox management, process improvements, and change implementation initiatives.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Proven experience in pension administration within the UK financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of pension products and pension administration processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience calculating and administering Protected Tax-Free Cash (PTFC) entitlements.
  • Experience processing Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) and Relevant Scheme Test (RST) benefits.
