Job Description
Ameriprise Financial has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate Product Owner to join a high-impact agile team focused on Secure Message Center, Virtual Assistant, and Live Agent Chat capabilities across the Client Secure Site. In this role, you'll partner closely with product, engineering, UX, content, risk, and compliance teams to deliver secure communication and self-service experiences that support client and advisor needs. You'll help advance key strategic priorities across messaging and conversational support experiences while identifying opportunities to improve engagement, streamline servicing, and evolve future communication and support capabilities.Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of product strategy and delivery for one or more agile Scrum teams. Represent the customer and business needs throughout the product lifecycle, defining roadmaps, priorities, and requirements.
- Define and execute digital product strategy. Establish and monitor key performance indicators aligned to business outcomes and regularly communicate progress to stakeholders and leadership.
- Partner with business, technology, UX, risk, and compliance stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver product enhancements aligned to strategic objectives.
- Own product backlogs, roadmap planning, and prioritization activities to ensure teams are focused on delivering measurable customer and business value.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experiences, drive engagement, and support business growth through ongoing assessment of customer needs, product performance, and market trends.
Required Qualifications
- Strong business analysis and project management skills with a high attention to detail
- Experience supporting or partnering with product management on software-based solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and rationale
- Solid understanding of digital technologies, digital servicing capabilities, emerging AI-enabled experiences, and industry best practices
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience in product, digital, or related roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an Agile environment, including participation in core ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, backlog refinement)
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage teams, guide discussions, and help resolve conflicts
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across both technical and business audiences
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams including technology, UX, content, analytics, risk, and compliance
In-Office Collaboration
We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing, productivity and personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders — clients, advisors, employees and shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $81,700 - $112,300/ year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
