Planning engineer is to support project planning, monitoring, and reporting activities by maintaining accurate MIS records, tracking project progress, generating performance reports, and providing data-driven insights for effective decision-making and timely project execution.
Planning & Monitoring
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, trackers, and progress reports.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and timelines against approved plans.
- Identify schedule deviations and highlight potential risks or delays.
- Coordinate with project, O&M, and field teams to collect and validate progress data.
- Support resource planning and utilization tracking.
- Develop and maintain Management Information System (MIS) reports and dashboards.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly project performance reports.
- Track key project metrics, KPIs, and SLA compliance.
- Consolidate data from multiple stakeholders and ensure accuracy of reports.
- Prepare management presentations and status updates for internal reviews.
- Analyze project data and provide actionable insights to management.
- Maintain project documentation, trackers, and records.
- Ensure data integrity and timely updating of databases.
- Support audits, reviews, and compliance reporting requirements.
- Liaise with project teams, vendors, clients, and internal departments for data collection and reporting.
- Support management in decision-making through accurate and timely information.
- Facilitate communication of project performance and key observations to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Applications, Statistics, or related discipline.
- 2-6 years of experience in Project Planning, PMO, MIS, or Project Coordination roles.
- Experience in infrastructure, utility, smart metering, power distribution, or EPC projects will be preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced Functions, Pivot Tables, Dashboards, and Data Analysis).
- Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera, or other planning tools.
- Experience in MIS reporting and KPI tracking.
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar visualization tools will be an added advantage.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Applications, Statistics, or a related discipline

- Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera, or other planning tools
