This role is to ensure reliable communication and connectivity across the Smart Metering (AMI) network by monitoring telecom infrastructure, resolving communication issues, and maintaining network performance as per project SLAs.
- Monitor communication performance of Smart Meters, DCUs, HES, and MDMS.
- Analyze and resolve Non-Communication (Non-Comm) meter issues.
- Coordinate with telecom operators and vendors for network availability and SIM management.
- Troubleshoot RF, GPRS, 4G/NB-IoT, and other communication-related faults.
- Support SAT, commissioning, testing, and O&M activities.
- Track network KPIs, communication success rates, and SLA compliance.
- Prepare MIS reports, RCA reports, and performance dashboards.
- Coordinate with field and O&M teams for timely issue resolution.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecom, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- 2-6 years of experience in Telecom, AMI, Smart Metering, IoT, or Utility Projects.
- Knowledge of AMI architecture, DCU, HES, MDMS, and Smart Meter communications.
- Experience with RF Mesh, GPRS, 4G/LTE, NB-IoT, and IP networking.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecom, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline
- 2–6 years of experience in Telecom, AMI, Smart Metering, IoT, or Utility Projects
- Knowledge of AMI architecture, DCU, HES, MDMS, and Smart Meter communications
- Experience with RF Mesh, GPRS, 4G/LTE, NB-IoT, and IP networking
