Aprio is seeking a Senior Associate, M&A Integration Communications to support the planning and execution of communications across Aprio’s active mergers and acquisitions portfolio. This role ensures that employees, clients, and stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned. Reporting to the Director, M&A Integration Communications, this role will manage communications for multiple concurrent acquisitions, partnering cross-functionally to deliver seamless, high-impact messaging during periods of change and growth.
 
This is an opportunity to help build and scale a best-in-class integration communications function within a fast-growing national firm.

Responsibilities:

    Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute communication plans for assigned acquisitions from announcement through integration milestones.
  • Partner with integration leaders and key stakeholders to identify communication needs, risks, and opportunities throughout the integration process.
  • Recommend communication approaches that support employee engagement, stakeholder alignment, and successful integration outcomes.
  • Execution

  • Independently manage the development and delivery of executive communications, firm-wide announcements, FAQs, change narratives, and client-facing messaging.
  • Lead communication activities for assigned integrations, ensuring messaging is timely, consistent, and aligned with Aprio's brand and business objectives.
  • Support and facilitate town halls, leadership communications, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong working relationships with executive leaders, HR, Marketing, IT, Finance, and integration teams to gather input, align messaging, and support integration goals.
  • Serve as a key communications partner for assigned acquisitions, providing guidance on messaging and communication timing.
  • Identify communication risks and escalate concerns with recommended mitigation approaches
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor communication effectiveness through employee feedback, engagement data, and stakeholder input.
  • Analyze trends and provide insights to improve communication strategies and integration experiences.
  • Contribute to the development of communication templates, tools, and best practices that support acquisition integrations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • 6–8+ years of corporate communications experience.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale change initiatives preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong executive writing and storytelling skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across HR, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence and professionalism.
  • Experience developing communication strategies and messaging plans for complex organizational initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience partnering with senior leaders and executives.
