Job Summary
The Senior Export Coordinator is responsible for accurate and timely completion of export documentation, and coordination of export shipping arrangements both internally, and externally with designated freight forwarders.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides accurate and timely completion of required export documentation, inclusive of shipper’s letters of instruction, invoices, and packing lists in compliance with governmental, customer specific, and Letter of Credit and Cash Against Documents requirements.
- Interfaces with internal and external customers, freight forwarders, international customer service, documentary companies, and the shipping department to ensure timely coordination and logistics of shipments.
- Ensures compliance with export administration and control within government rules and regulations, including accurate and timely filing of appropriate Electronic Export Information.
- Assists with documenting and maintaining work instructions as related to job specific functions as well as customer and country specific requirements.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
Education and Experience Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Degree in related field and/or Export related certifications a plus.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience in shipping/logistics with international shipping, and/or export experience preferred
- Previous SAP experience preferred.
