Job Description
Checkout.com is looking for a Senior Associate within Financial Regulatory Reporting to join our Finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional to join a high-growth, global fintech business. The Senior Associate will support the financial regulatory reporting function across the Group, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant regulatory submissions across multiple jurisdictions.
This hands-on role sits within the Financial Control team and will report directly to the Senior Manager of Financial Regulatory Reporting, contributing to the production, validation, and analysis of regulatory returns. You will collaborate closely with internal collaborators including Compliance, Treasury, Product Control, and Regional Financial Control teams to ensure regulatory reporting obligations are met in a timely, controlled, consistent, and scalable way.
Remit and responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and submit regulatory returns for Checkout’s regulated entities, including but not limited to:
UK (FCA): FIN060 Authorised Electronic Money Institution Questionnaire, FIN073 Baseline Financial Resilience Report, FIN074 Economic Crime Levy
France (ACPR): Common Reporting for Other Financial Institutions (COREP), Statement of Transactions on Payment Accounts and Electronic Money (RUBA)
UAE (CBUAE): Payment Returns Form (PRF), Consumer Protection
Validate and reconcile data used in regulatory reports, ensuring completeness, consistency, and accuracy, resolving data quality issues when they arise
Assist in interpreting regulatory guidance and converting it into clear reporting requirements
Support in building the regulatory reporting control environment, designing and implementing controls, defining new data sources, and establishing end-to-end processes and checklists
Work with data teams to ensure data definitions and mapping are consistent with regulatory interpretations
Assist in responding to regulatory queries, audits, and second-line reviews, preparing supporting documentation and analysis
Support continuous operational improvements to enhance efficiency, control, and scalability of regulatory reporting
Supporting the rollout of a new automated solution for data collection and transformation
Participate in regulatory projects and initiatives, including system changes, new reporting requirements, or market expansions
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a solid foundation in regulatory or financial reporting, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, analytical approach suited to a fast-paced, regulated environment.
2–4 years’ experience in regulatory or financial reporting, ideally within the financial services, payments, or banking sector
Strong technical and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks and reporting regimes (e.g. FCA, ACPR, MAS, or equivalent) preferred
Ability to work collaboratively across finance, treasury, compliance, and data functions
Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and the use of AI for research and automation, and comfortable working with data sets and reconciliations
Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn and grow within a high-performing, fast-evolving team
