Senior Associate - Finance (GST & Indirect Tax)

Riveron India is seeking a Senior Associate – Finance with strong hands-on experience in GST reconciliation, returns filing, and indirect tax compliance, along with solid accounting exposure. This role is ideal for professionals from mid-size CA firms or industry accounting roles supporting indirect tax and statutory compliance.

Qualifications:

• B.Com /M.Com or CA Inter (preferred)

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in GST, indirect tax compliance, and accounting

• Strong hands-on experience in GST filings and reconciliations (mandatory)

• Experience with mid-size CA firms or industry roles handling indirect tax compliance

• Working knowledge of Indian GST and indirect tax laws

• Hands-on experience with accounting software NetSuite, or similar ERPs

• Strong MS Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting

• You have experience supporting end-to-end indirect tax compliance for multiple entities

• You have exposure to statutory audits, tax audits, or internal reviews

• You demonstrate high attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• You have the ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment

• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally at a high level of customer service

• You must uphold the highest level of professionalism, as well as confidentiality

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare, review, and file GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C

• Perform periodic GST reconciliations between books, GSTR-2B, GSTR-1, and GSTR-3B

• Identify, analyze, and resolve reconciliation differences and compliance gaps

• Support indirect tax compliance, assessments, and preparation of responses to notices

• Handle core accounting activities including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and account reconciliations

• Assist in preparation of financial statements and statutory schedules

• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and auditors for tax and compliance matters

• Maintain compliance trackers, working papers, and audit documentation

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOPs, and governance standards
