Manager - Delegate Oversight

Summary:  The Manager – Delegate Oversight will assist with the management of ongoing and large-scale operational risk deliverables within Waystone Management Company business, covering both AIFM and UCITS Management Company responsibilities. The role will oversee a range of delegates of Waystone, will ensure the ongoing regulatory compliance for all of these delegates and work in a supportive role within the Irish team for existing, new and potential mandates (supporting the broader European operations). It will involve working with both internal and external parties to ensure that on-going risk monitoring and compliance requirements are being adhered to.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The minimum expectation of the Manager is that the employee will:

 Decision Making & Judgment

• Maintain effective oversight of onboarding distribution delegates by completing comprehensive and accurate initial due diligence reviews in a timely manner, ensuring all stakeholder deadlines are met prior to obtaining CBI authorisation.
• Work closely with the Distribution Oversight team and other relevant internal teams to ensure all backup and documentation required for all new, onboarding delegate due diligence reviews are received on time, ensuring the timely update of all relevant trackers as part of the review process.
• Maintain effective oversight of all our existing active distribution delegates by completing comprehensive and accurate annual due diligence reviews in a timely manner, to ensure all stakeholder deadlines are met prior to obtaining CBI authorisation.
• Review and maintain effective oversight of delegate marketing material, ensuring all monthly target reviews are met and supporting our team in Mumbai with their tasks as part of this process. This process will involve effective and proactive follow-up with both delegates and internal teams, to ensure comprehensive oversight of the materials, assessing each review point individually, with the ability to challenge each observation, where appropriate and apply independent sound regulatory judgement for each review.
• Proactive maintenance, recording and updating all team inventories and process planners to ensure that all distributor data and records are accurate, up to date, and reflect the most recent information received.
• Record all new Global Registrations records (passporting and marketing notifications)
• Provide advice, guidance and support across the business to identify, assess, manage and measure operational risks in accordance with the relevant regulatory policies.
• Ensure Fund Board reports contain accurate and up to date information relating to Distribution
• Assist in any internal or regulatory projects as required by the DP for Distribution
• Communicate effectively with distributor delegates to provide support, advice and guidance on their queries or provide up to date information related to Distribution of their funds.
• Provide support to the Distribution Oversight team where needed, with regards to work relating to distributors
• Escalation of issues to the DP for Distribution or otherwise in accordance with procedures agreed by the Board;
• Ensuring that effective investor complaints handling procedures are in place, liaising closely with the Designated Person for Regulatory Compliance;
• Adhere to relevant policies & procedures at all times.

Education:

An internationally recognised 3rd level degree.

Experience:

The candidate must have previous experience in a 3rd party management company role
