Senior Associate, Custody
Sydney, Australia
Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm

Intro:
You will be reporting to the Manager, Custody.
The primary function of this role will be to assist the Manager, Custody with providing timely and accurate custody services for a portfolio of funds on behalf of third-party fund managers.
Some of the things you'll be doing:
• Liaising with multiple banks - assist with all key steps involved in the opening and closure of bank accounts (including form completion, AML and KYC) and any other bank related matters
• Maintain banking platforms up to date regarding authorised persons
• Payments for items such as capital calls, distributions and fund expenses - review proper instructions and supporting information and payments prepared by our offshore team
• Assist with bank account reconciliations
• Document Custody - maintain Document Registers and assist with document execution as required
• Set up and maintain Asset Registers and Safe Custody Document reports
• Maintain and adhere to custody policies and procedures
• Actively involved in ongoing automation and improvement of systems and processes
• Handling client interactions and resolving queries with a focus on relationship building
• Involvement in projects and other ad hoc duties as required
• Assist with AML/CTF obligations based on training provided
• Assist with FATCA and CRS reporting obligations for clients/trusts base on training provided
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
• 3 to 4 years' experience in a Payments, Back Office or Fund Operations role
• Relevant qualification - preferably degree qualified in business, legal or accounting
• Understanding of the role of a Trustee
• Client management skills and relationship management experience
• Works well under pressure, delivers results and meets customer expectations
• Works collaboratively and enjoys working in a team
• Self-starter with good planning and organisational skills
• Highly principled and able to resolve issues
• Fluent in English both verbally and in writing
• Good verbal and written communication skills
