Onboarding Manager, Capital Markets (Australia & New Zealand)
Sydney
Monday-Friday, full-time
Hybrid: 3 days onsite + 2 days WFH
Introduction
Client onboarding is a critical function at CSC. We empower businesses of all sizes, wherever they are in the world, to navigate the complexity of ever-changing rules and regulations.
You will be a key senior member to facilitate the 'best in class' onboarding journey for our clients by working closely with our business teams to provide guidance and support in various processes.
We are seeking a professional who is passionate about the AML/KYC onboarding process, and is seeking to grow their career.
Your responsibilities
Client onboarding
  • Receive and provide initial assessment on client KYC onboarding information.
  • Act as liaison between our business and compliance functions to successfully onboard clients efficiently and in adherence with our robust internal controls.
  • Constantly seek to improve our internal processes as we strive to continuously improve our client experience.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert to business teams to ensure a consistent approach to our client onboarding requirements, and to stay updated on AML/KYC regulatory changes.

File Review
  • Collect and analyse business data for annual file reviews.
  • Be responsible for any remediation plans, working closely with the business teams and clients.
  • Prepare ongoing management reports to assist with group reporting requirements.

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
Experience in the following is required:
  • 5+ years in a similar position.
  • Conducting background checks on individuals, companies and trust structures.
  • Familiarity with screening tools and processes (e.g. PEP's, sanctions, adverse media).
  • Verifying identities, company structures, shareholdings and more.
  • Liaising with clients and guiding them through the verification process.
  • Handling queries and providing stellar service, both internally and externally.
  • Keeping up-to-date with regulatory changes, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior onboarding staff is advantageous.
  • Overseeing workload distribution and productivity.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve internal processes and client outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A University Degree is preferred;
  • Experience working within a top tier bank or asset management firm is greatly advantageous.
  • Experience managing direct reports is also advantageous, however the candidate we are seeking will be a motivated self-starter equally happy to work on their own at times.
