Senior Associate - Corporate & Technology

The Opportunity

A rare and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Associate to join our market-leading Band 1 Technology Practice in Sydney.

In this role, you will work closely with partners Walid Sukari and Ken Saurajen as part of a driven, dynamic and high-performance meritocracy with a rich practice balanced across both private and public sectors and working across a diverse range of industries.

You will work on matters spanning complex project services, technology-rich M&A and other corporate transactions, IT&T contracting, large scale outsourcing, managed services and cloud projects, data licensing and commercialisation agreements, software, payments and related commercial contracting. While your work will be focused on transactional engagements, you will also provide strategic advice in relation to existing and emerging regulatory frameworks, new technologies and artificial intelligence.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• 7+ years PQE with demonstrated experience as a Senior Associate within a leading commercial law firm;

• Exceptional technical legal skills (in particular, contract drafting);

• A capacity for superior written and verbal expression and an aptitude for reshaping and expressing complex concepts in a concise and intelligent way;

• Creativity, curiosity and the initiative for unconventional problem-solving; and

• A naturally collegiate mindset which prioritises respect for peers and collaborative ways of working.
