Description
SHINE Technologies is looking for someone of exceptional ability and potential to join our Corporate Development & Strategy team. This is a high-visibility role where long-range strategy gets turned into action. You'll work directly with the Chief Strategy Officer and senior leadership to influence the choices that shape the company's long-term trajectory.
The role is built for someone unusually driven, analytically gifted, and eager to take on more responsibility than the title suggests. We care more about raw horsepower, initiative, and the capacity to grow than about any fixed checklist of experience.
The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
What You'll Do
• Build our long-range corporate model, translating strategy into economic frameworks and actionable plans and targets. Partner CSO, CFO and business leaders to ensure alignment and cohesion up and down the organization.
• Lead the development of ad-hoc models, analyses and technoeconomic frameworks that guide strategic decision-making on investments, partnerships, and development arrangements.
• Support end-to-end corporate development, partnership, and licensing processes, including target identification, business case development, diligence coordination, data-room management, and synthesis of findings across functions.
• Build out the company's competitive and market intelligence function — tracking markets, competitors, and industry dynamics, updating senior leadership to help guide decision-making and strategy.
• Support the development of investor-facing materials and support financing efforts — equity and debt raises, lender and investor diligence
• Prepare board-ready materials, memos, and executive presentations that distill complex analysis into crisp, decision-oriented narratives.
• Help run the annual strategic planning cycle, preparing the analysis and materials that inform decisions by the executive leadership team on the company's long-range plan.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations, and business units) to pressure-test assumptions and drive initiatives to completion.
What We're Looking For
• A track record of doing exceptional things — in school, work, sport, a startup, wherever. We want proof you set a high bar and clear it.
• Strong ability with numbers. You think in models, you're quick and capable in Excel, and you're comfortable making a call with incomplete data. You also find the balance between the big picture and details.
• The ability — and a real appetite — to go deep on material beyond the numbers (the technology, the regulatory landscape, the economics behind it), figure out how it actually works, and turn it into something a decision-maker can use.
• Clear, confident communication. You can make a complicated argument simple without dumbing it down, in writing or out loud, and you're comfortable having senior people scrutinize your work.
• Humble and hungry. No task is beneath you, you step into the gap instead of waiting to be told, and you follow through.
• You take pride in your work and set high standard for yourself.
• Genuinely curious about how businesses really create value, and eager to learn it.
• Most people who thrive in this seat bring roughly 3–6 years from investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate development, or a comparable environment where they produced real analysis under pressure — though we value capability over credentials.
Requirements
Nice to Have
• Experience in nuclear, energy, or adjacent industrial sectors, or with the relevant deal types.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, data tools, and agentic AI.
Why This Role
This is a launchpad, not a holding pattern. You'll see how strategic decisions actually get made, build real relationships with the people making them, and walk away with a skill set that compounds for the rest of your career. We invest heavily in people with exceptional potential.
