What You'll Do:

This role will help to drive the development and implementation of our compensation philosophy, policies, and practices, while supporting our efforts to attract and retain the best talent available. This position will analyze internal and external data to ensure our market competitiveness and internal equity. Partner with other HR functions including Talent Management and Talent Acquisition to support business growth and change at The OCC. Help define and administer our compensation plans, challenge assumptions, and drive change.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.

  • Conduct job evaluations and analyze survey data to market price exempt and non-exempt roles

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and other teams to structure new hire offers and advise on internal transfers and promotions

  • Manage and complete all compensation salary survey submissions, and analyze annual survey data as it is published

  • Assist in the design of compensation programs and policies, including modeling financial costs and drafting communication materials

  • Partner with HRIS to ensure compensation data integrity for all related processes

  • Help manage Compensation review processes for the firm, including process planning, testing, communications, administration, and reporting

  • Administer employee recognition programs

  • Partner with HR and business leaders to identify trends, develop new programs, and model the impact of changes

  • Proactively identify and drive opportunities for process improvement

  • [Required] Comfortable analyzing large data sets and presenting results that tell a clear and compelling story

  • [Required] Strong Excel and data organization skills; comfortable with advanced formulas (e.g. IF statements, VLOOKUP), pivot tables, and macros

  • [Required] Strong prioritization skills; ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects while focusing on high quality of work; juggles competing deadlines effectively

  • [Required] Thinks multiple steps ahead; prepares for potential problems and escalates issues when appropriate

  • [Required] Strong communication skills and the ability to convey analytical concepts clearly to peers and management

Technical Skills:

  • [Required] Proficient with Microsoft Excel

  • [Preferred] HRIS experience (Workday)

  • [Preferred] MarketPay experience

Education and/or Experience:

  • [Required] Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business, or related field

  • [Required] 3+ years of relevant work experience
