About Global Markets
CBA’s Global Markets division is responsible for the Trading and Sales activities in financial markets encompassing all Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Fixed Income and Interest Rate products. The Global Markets Sales team play an important part in enhancing our client’s success by making global markets easy to navigate.
Your Team
The Central Rates team proactively assists Global Markets sales teams in pricing, structuring and executing interest rate risk management solutions with Business Bank clients.
Your Impact and Contribution
As an Associate in the Central Rates team, you’ll be an integral team member who provides exceptional service and support to the national sales team. You will collaborate and build trusting relationships with team members across the country and assist them in providing hedging solutions for Business Banking customers. Your development will see you manage the execution of solutions ensuring appropriate client engagement processes are followed and risks are covered.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing strong relationships with sales teams and build working knowledge of client portfolios. Continually work with teams in identifying hedging opportunities and potential restructures
Assisting the sales teams in maintaining and servicing their client portfolios by providing risk portfolio analysis together with economic commentary to clients.
Correctly pricing and executing packaged and wholesale interest rate & foreign exchange products.
Working with sales teams, bankers and commercial lending maintenance teams to control and minimise operational risks between hedging and lending products.
Prioritising and quickly responding to inbound phone and email enquiries and deal requests.
Pricing and executing vanilla foreign exchange solutions is an ancillary part of the role.
Being a self-motivated learner who has interest in banking and global markets products and innovations.
To be successful, our ideal candidate will have previous banking and interest rate product knowledge. You’ll be a self-motivated individual who is performance driven and has a growth mindset. In addition we are seeking:
Previous financial services or other relevant corporate experience in debt and financial markets.
Proven success in collaborating and working within a team environment.
A deep interest in financial markets products and services.
Sound business acumen combining excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to comply with regulations, policies and process.
Tertiary qualification and AFMA accreditation are desirable.
