Job description
What you will do
-
Support the team in achieving their business objectives by carrying out the various steps involved in the financial analysis process;
-
Play an active role in the careful monitoring of projects, contribute to the management of investment opportunities, help to improve portfolio performance and promote collaboration and teamwork;
-
Contribute to investments in specialty finance, opportunistic credit, and subordinated equity, among others;
-
Responsible for thorough fundamental analyses of the various projects and modelling financial results. Specific duties include: Participate in the analysis of specialty finance, subordinated equity and opportunistic credit files on the primary and secondary markets and help prepare, within established timetables, preliminary analyses and documents on investment recommendations (executive summaries);

Review the available financial information and analyze existing credit documents (legal documents, commitment letters and credit agreements), as needed;
-
Carry out project research and fundamental analysis; examine leadership and business model quality, capacity ability to create value, growth potential and project risks;
-
Produce the required documentation regarding companies and the portfolio (synopsis sheets, financial and valuation models, internal risk ratings, sectoral reports);
-
Monitor changes in the quarterly and annual financial results of portfolio projects;
-
Help identify potential crisis situations sufficiently in advance;
-
Play an active role in the investment due diligence process;
-
Prepare investment recommendations and present to decision-making bodies;

Review and analyze legal documentation related to investments (letters of offer, credit agreements, prospectuses and other credit documents);

Develop effective analysis, search and monitoring systems ;
-
Offer assistance to other team members to achieve expected results;
-
And, carry out all other related tasks as requested by the team leader.

What you bring
-
Master’s degree in Finance or Economics or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation;
-
Knowledge of: Software programs and databases used in the financial market (Bloomberg, Capital IQ);
-
Knowledge of assessing and modeling cash flows, collateral values, and financial statements;
-
Knowledge of creating and analyzing financial projections and stress-testing models;
-
Knowledge of evaluating the creditworthiness of borrowers ;
-
Knowledge of credit risk metrics, ratings, and how to structure credit facilities to mitigate risks;
-
Knowledge of structuring loans and credit facilities, including term loans, revolvers, and asset-backed loans;
-
Knowledge of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating loan documentation;
-
Knowledge of managing and monitoring a portfolio of loans, including covenant compliance, performance tracking, and risk reporting;
-
Knowledge of conducting regular reviews of borrower financials and maintaining strong client relationships;
-
Knowledge of private equity, corporate credit, infrastructure or investment banking transactions;
-
Relocation to the area within reasonable commuting distance of the job location is required.
Salary: US$218,851/year.
