The Opportunity
As part of our Water team, the Business Transformation team enables organisations across water, defence, government, energy and other key sectors to solve complex business challenges and deliver lasting outcomes.
Our team combines deep consulting capability with practical delivery expertise, supporting clients and our business through organisational transformation, operating model design, business improvement, digital transformation and change management initiatives.
We work with Government agencies and critical infrastructure organisations to deliver complex transformation initiatives that improve services, capability and organisational performance.
As a result of our continued growth across Australia, we are seeking an experienced Senior Associate – Business Transformation specialist to join our Business Transformation practice in Canberra.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver complex organisational change initiatives across a diverse portfolio of projects and clients. You will partner with senior client stakeholders to shape change strategies, manage implementation activities, build organisational capability and help realise the intended benefits of transformation programs. You will contribute to client relationship development, support business development activities and play a key role in shaping proposals and opportunities across the practice.
As a senior member of the team, you will also contribute to the growth of our Business Transformation practice through leadership, mentoring, business development and the development of our people and capability.

About You
You are a commercially minded and experienced consultant who thrives in complex environments and enjoys helping organisations navigate change.
You bring a curious mindset, strong stakeholder engagement skills and a practical approach to solving business challenges. You are comfortable working with ambiguity, influencing diverse stakeholder groups and leading initiatives from strategy through to implementation.
You understand how change management contributes to strategic organisational outcomes and have demonstrated success delivering change in large-scale transformation environments.
You bring experience advising senior leaders through complex business and organisational transformation, coupled with strong consulting skills and a pragmatic approach to delivering measurable outcomes

Experience and Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline. Prosci (ADKAR) or APMG Change certifications are highly regarded; complementary credentials in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) are a plus.
Proven experience as a change leader/consultant, ideally within consulting firms or mid-to-large enterprises, delivering complex organisational and technology-enabled change.
Strong understanding of contemporary change management methodologies and best practices, including impact assessment, stakeholder analysis, communications, learning, readiness, adoption and benefits tracking.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong facilitation and presentation capability; adept at producing executive-ready deliverables.
Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders at various organisational levels; demonstrated team leadership, coaching and mentoring.
Desirable: experience in public sector, water, infrastructure or regulated environments; familiarity with human-centred design/service design; comfort with data-led change metrics and reporting.
Membership of relevant organisations such as the Change Management Institute or the Engagement Institute is viewed favourably.

Security Clearance
Given the nature of some of our client engagements, candidates who hold or are eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline or above) will be highly regarded. Australian citizenship may be required for certain projects.
