Key Responsibilities

 

Brand Strategy & Vision

  • Support the development and execution of Madewell’s brand experience strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives, brand positioning, and relevant market trends

  • Assist Director of Brand Experience in translating brand pillars into customer-facing experiences across retail, digital platforms, and marketing channels, including always-on programs and seasonal activations

  • Contribute to the execution of brand campaigns and initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, and cultural relevance

  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging, voice, and visual identity across all consumer touchpoints

Customer Insights & Trend Awareness

  • Bring a customer-first mindset to all workstreams

  • Monitor and synthesize consumer data, cultural trends, and competitive insights to inform brand initiatives

  • Support the development of trend reports and share insights with cross-functional teams

  • Assist in testing and iterating new experiential concepts, including pop-ups, partnerships, and in-store activations; and support detailed reporting to help share insights with leadership team

Omnichannel Experience 

  • Support execution of cohesive brand experiences across ecommerce, retail, social, and marketing channels

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (retail, merchandising, digital) on tactics that bring brand initiatives to life across the customer journey

  • Support in-store storytelling efforts, services, and experiential programs to enhance engagement and conversion

  • Contribute to the roll-out and optimization of new experiential formats and pilot programs, supporting detailed reporting to drive insights

Activations & Partnerships

  • Assist in the development and execution of brand activations, events, and partnerships that elevate brand visibility and engagement, with consideration of customer journey and key business objectives

  • Support coordination of collaborations and external partnerships, driving strategic co-marketing extensions to drive brand growth

  • Help drive brand awareness through culturally relevant initiatives across fashion, music, and lifestyle spaces, identifying in-market opportunities

Retail Experience & Services

  • Support coordination and execution of key brand service initiatives (e.g., denim fit, styling, and customization)

  • Assist in elevating denim storytelling across channels, including fit, fabric, and sustainability narratives

  • Help plan and execute in-store events and programming in partnership with retail teams

  • Contribute to the development of tools and resources (e.g., event guides, toolkits) to ensure consistent brand execution in stores

Brand & Creative Collaboration

  • Partner with creative and marketing teams to support ideation and execution of campaigns, store environments, and activations

  • Ensure brand standards are upheld across all deliverables and executions

  • Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and production partners as needed, driving brief and run-of-show calls to ensure seamless program / event execution

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with partners across marketing, merchandising, creative, and operations to support key brand experience initiatives

  • Contribute to seasonal planning processes and support Director of Brand Experience in execution against key milestones

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless and consistent brand experiences across channels

Qualifications
  • 5–7+ years of experience in brand marketing, retail, experiential, or related fields—preferably within fashion or lifestyle

  • Experience supporting omnichannel brand initiatives and campaigns, with strong prioritization skills – must have the ability to effectively manage multiple workflows and timelines simultaneously

  • Strong understanding of retail environments, digital platforms, and customer experience principles, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and key business partners

  • Interest in fashion, denim, and cultural trends, with the ability to express key marketing messages and brand strategies to retail associates and third-party audiences, like agencies or brand partners 

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, collaboration, and project management skills with a team-driven mentality

  • Ability to balance creative thinking and problem-solving with strategic business objectives while managing critical timelines

Note: Availability of these benefits and perks may be subject to work location & employment type and may have certain eligibility requirements.

Salary Range: $72,500.00 - $89,750.00

The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.  The base salary is just one component of J.Crew Group’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes the opportunity for bonus, competitive benefits and perks.
