Position Summary and Qualifications:

Reporting directly to the Vice President and Director of Athletics and in collaboration with the Executive Associate Athletic Director, the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Revenue Generation will serve as a senior leader responsible for developing, executing, and continuously optimizing comprehensive revenue generation strategies across the department.
Through a data driven and entrepreneurial approach to enhance areas of revenue generation, this position identifies new revenue opportunities, seeks to maximize existing revenue streams, and collaborates across the university to achieve sustainable financial growth. This role serves as an extension of the Vice President in cultivating relationships with key stakeholders for the purpose of enhancing the fan, donor and community experiences.
This position will have a heavy focus on and oversee ticket sales and service, ticket operations, data and analytics, secondary ticket partnerships, premium seating and spaces, parking sales, concessions, and digital marketing for the athletic department.
The position will sit on the Athletics Senior Team and be tasked with sport oversight (pending experience). This position will report directly to the Vice President and Director of Athletics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive oversight for ticket sales, service, and operations to implement data-driven sales and fan retention strategies. 

  • Establish annual revenue goals and performance metrics across all assigned revenue streams.

  • Formulate comprehensive ticketing yields, including dynamic single-game pricing, season packages, fee structures, and secondary market strategies.

  • Prepare and present regular performance reports and recommendations to Athletics senior leadership.

  • Manage full-time, intern, part-time, and game-day staff.  Provide leadership to increase and maximize ticket revenue and customer experience.  

  • Identify and strengthen third-party partnerships to enhance and elevate revenues, attendance, and fan and community engagement. Serve as the primary contact for existing and future third-party partnerships 

  • Oversee other revenue generation areas such as premium seating and spaces, parking, concessions and special event rentals to maximize revenue in these categories. 

  • Provide daily leadership for concessionaires to maximize operational growth across all athletic venues to grow revenue and improve the fan experience.

  • Lead and execute strategic communications to maximize revenue generation, ticket sales, event attendance, and brand visibility.

  • Direct data-driven digital marketing campaigns and content strategies to maximize ticket sales and auxiliary revenue streams.

  • Work in partnership with Hawk Athletic Fund/Athletic Development staff to maximize philanthropic and NIL support across Athletics through seat premiums, annual giving, and donor cultivation.

  • Oversee and collaborate with Van Wagner, Athletics Multi Media Rights Partner to drive corporate revenue and increase partnerships.

  • Collaborate with Assistant Vice President of Revenue Generation and Strategic Corporate Partnerships to identify revenue opportunities mutually beneficial to the University and Athletics Department.

  • Develop business cases for revenue generation and investment opportunities (pending experience). 

  • Work in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Fan Experience to promote and market all men’s and women’s basketball games.

  • Work in collaboration with SJU Athletics budget office to ensure all University, athletics, state, city, conference, and NCAA ticket pricing and reconciling requirements are met for any event where ticketing is required.

  • Serve as a strategic member of the Athletics Senior Leadership Team, contributing to departmental planning and long-term initiatives.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. 

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive professional experience across intercollegiate athletics or sports revenue generation verticals

Preferred

  • Masters is preferred

Pay Transparency:
