About the role

As Senior Associate - Accounts Payable, you will be accountable for the following:

  • Timely and accurate processing – take ownership and initiative until transaction is successfully and accurately processed

  • Thoroughly check work prior to completion of posting to avoid unnecessary corrections

  • Ensure that invoices are posted

  • Run required accounts reconciliation and advise appropriate adjustments

  • Understand and account for withholding tax and VAT and CIT

  • Collate and input data with high level of accuracy and in accordance with Service Level Agreements

  • Answer stakeholders requests for information in a helpful and friendly way

  • Input information into systems, maintain and update account records

  • Communicate with internal and external customer in an effective and efficient manner

  • Act as an effective team player

  • Maintain and implement agreed self-development plan

  • Ensure that all relevant Shell and SSSC standards and guidelines are met

  • Compliance to SOX rules and guidelines

  • Carry out other assignments assigned by the supervisors

What we need from you

  • Min 1 year of experience in relevant accounting environment

  • Language Requirement: Mandarin, English (both oral and written)

  • Obtained Economic, Accounting or Finance University Degree/qualifications, or equivalent courses with experience

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

  • Knowledge of accounting controls

  • Knowledge in SAP and similar accounting systems is an advantage
