The Senior Actuarial Associate, Inforce Management candidate will be a key member of the Fortitude Re Life Inforce Management team, which serves the company by supporting recurring reinsurance settlement activity and management/financial reporting on reinsured businesses. This position will report to the AVP, Life Inforce Reinsurance Actuary. Responsibilities include data analysis and reporting on multiple life and annuity products, and support of our internal controls, policies, and governance.
The position is located in the Fortitude Re Nashville, TN office on a hybrid schedule with minimal travel expected (0%-15%).
What You Will Do:
- Provide analysis for recurring reinsurance settlement statements and financial reporting.
- Execute within a control framework around the reinsurance settlement statement review process for legacy blocks of business.
- Develop, report, and provide analysis for key performance indicators across the Fortitude Re product portfolio and communicate results to key stakeholders.
- Implement process improvement and automation through use of data integration, analytics, and visualizations.
- Execute on various ad hoc projects and key initiatives.
- Collaborate across actuarial, finance, and data teams.
What You Will Have:
- Associate or Fellow in the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent is required; exam support is provided through our Actuarial Development Program for Associates who are actively pursuing Fellowship.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressively more responsible actuarial experience with Life Insurance, Annuity products or ALM equivalent environment.
- High degree of proficiency in working with data and calculations in MS Excel and database environments
- Intermediate to advanced experience with programming languages; SQL, Python preferred.
- Experience in data visualization; PowerBI preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent assignment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite products
- Demonstrated success working independently, in collaborative teams and with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple work assignments and meet time commitments.
- Ability to pick up concepts quickly and retain information.
- Highly motivated, inquisitive and results oriented.
- The desire and ability to deliver accurate and completed work products.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

$110,000—$130,000 USD
