Senior HR Specialist - HR Operations

People Services India is looking for a strong HR generalist to join the India People Services team as part of our new specialized Services operation. Reporting to the Senior Manager, PS India this role will provide complex query and transactional support across a range of specialist HR services including Total Rewards, Learning and Development, Employee Relations and Reporting.

This will be a fast-paced and highly varied role, so you’ll need to be able to comfortably switch gears to manage different tasks – whether that’s guiding a Manager through an Employee Relations process, working with COE partners to research the answer to a complex policy query, or coordinating new learning offerings with external vendors. As part of the wider People Services organization, you’ll be supporting managers, employees and HR colleagues across RTX Business units, so you’ll need to be able to flex your style to meet the needs of this diverse customer group.

As this is a new service you’ll be involved right from the start, supporting the People Services leadership team to ensure a smooth transition of activities from BU HR, optimize end-to-end processes and ensure that great customer service is delivered throughout. The right candidate will have a broad range of HR generalist skills as well as being customer focused, pro-active, energetic and collaborative.

Responsibilities

This customer focused, pro-active, energetic and collaborative role will serve as an HR Advisor within the People Services.
Administering Offboarding formalities and conducting exit interview, collate data and report back to HR stakeholders.
Administer gratuity and other statutory compliance processes for employees.
Roll out HR communication to all employees related to HR policies and procedures and any updates.
Collate and provide payroll inputs related to any employee benefits to the payroll team.
Utilize our case management system (ServiceNow) to achieve required service level agreement metrics and overall client satisfaction.
Analyze work process design and flow for the People Services team and work with internal and external clients and vendors to implement improved processes, while suggesting necessary improvements to improve the overall client experience and efficiency.
In this role, individuals will function across all business units and will provide accurate and timely HR Transactional support to employees, managers, and other HR professionals.
Provide consistent, timely, accurate and customer-focused HR transactional services and data administration to key stakeholders and customers, while contributing to the achievement of the People Services’ overall vision and strategy.
Review and update existing HR policies/procedures and assist in producing new policies/procedures in relation to HR Transactional services.
Conduct analysis and prepare ongoing HR Transactional reports to effectively administer policies and programs.
Understand and be compliant with the corporate data protection and confidentiality policies.
Work in a team environment to resolve customer questions or issues in broad range of HR matters
Support on some of the Employee Relations subject as and when the business requires
Timely reports on the various HR subjects handled
Actively engage in ACE and support continuous improvement opportunities.
Perform any other duties deemed reasonable and necessary by the business
Requirements

Strong HR generalist skills and relevant experience in a line HR role or COE
Ability to carefully listen, probe and analyze data accompanied with sound judgment that meets organization and employee objectives
Experience in Learning and Development, Total Rewards, Employee Relations or Reporting an advantage
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in teams within deadlines.
Wide-ranging understanding of current HR policy and process and able to provide advice and guidance on complex issues.
Good understanding of local legal & regulatory requirements required for specialized services.
Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business
Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly, Good leadership skills and excellent stake holder management
Highly organized with strong administrative skills and Ability to operate independently on own initiative
Experience

Minimum 7+years as an HR Generalist or in COE
Significant strategic HR Business Partnering experience, including managing complex business change
Self-starter with a drive to make things happen at pace
Prior experience in managing high-volume HR requests and data administration preferred.
Experience managing data in HRIS systems required; experience using Workday preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pace and deadline-driven atmosphere.
Ability to learn processes, policies, and the ability to apply ACE principles to these processes for continuous improvement.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to apply analytical skills.
Strong communication skills (written and oral) with all levels of the organization.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project
management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
