Location: Cincinnati Office

Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in office / 2 days at home weekly

Job Summary 

PatientPoint is looking for a full-time Sr. Art Director to join our waiting room team. As a full-time Sr. Art Director, you will work as a member of the creative department, creating and concepting designs for our digital screens that support the goals of our healthcare providers, along with assets from our non-profit partners. Must be adept at visually communicating information in many different styles, crafting consistently high-quality content that will resonate with patients. You must be comfortable representing and managing a fast-paced, forward-thinking, diverse, and dedicated creative team. The Sr. Art Director plays an integral role, not only creating content alongside the team of motion designers but also providing written and verbal feedback on others’ projects and performance. The Sr Art Director will attend meetings with other teams within the creative department and company at large to ensure the development and refinement of PatientPoint’s creative strategy. 

What You’ll Do  

  • Design Content. As the Sr. Art Director, you’ll be responsible for transforming health information for patients into compelling and accessible animated visuals as an individual and the head of a team. This includes concept exploration, asset creation, and delivery of content for publish. You’ll need out-of-the box thinking, but also be comfortable creating and working with templates. You will have the ability to identify compelling stock photography, illustrate content and have a strong eye for layout and typography that aligns with content and brand positioning. 
  • Collaborate and Present. You’ll brainstorm and explore new design ideas with the team, and you will have the opportunity to work with other designers throughout the production of segments. The Sr Art Director will lead brainstorming sessions and design reviews by presenting concepts or providing feedback to other designers. 
  • Mentorship. You’ll lead the rest of the designers on the team by example and through formal mentoring and management, helping elevate the overall quality of content from the team by playing to strengths and identifying any areas for improvement. 
  • Project Manage. You’ll be responsible for the team reaching deadlines and tracking progress from concept to completion through the company’s project management software while being flexible and adapting to any shifting of priorities. 

What We Need  

  • B.A. in Design preferred 
  • Previous experience in people management    
  • 8-10+ years of experience in design 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – primarily After Effects but also Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign  
  • Excellent understanding of typography 
  • Eye for detail and visual consistency  
  • Strong reel, work samples or portfolio showcasing different styles and techniques  

Desired Qualifications  

  • Experience with After Effects plugins 
  • Element 3D or other 3D software  
  • Experience with Adobe Audition  
  • Familiarity with project management software  
  • Experience with Figma
